Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Senior/Director of Project Management for a remote role open to candidates based in Europe. You will lead global clinical research programs, guide PM teams, and drive operational excellence in a matrixed environment across sponsors, vendors, and clients.

You will mentor PM professionals, champion process improvements, and contribute to growth of project teams and the broader organization while collaborating across time zones with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• University or college degree, preferably in Life Sciences, or certification in an allied health profession.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of clinical pharmaceutical industry experience including demonstrated skills in clinical project management.
• Supervisory experience in healthcare setting and 8+ years of clinical research within pharma or CRO industry considered.
• Experience managing Rheumatology studies is required.
• Demonstrated leadership, development, and coaching of project management professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple global clinical research projects and programs, ensuring delivery against timeline, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Direct, mentor, and develop Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, supporting performance and growth.
• Build and lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Define resource requirements, manage staffing strategies, and implement contingency plans.
• Partner with sponsors to align on scope, priorities, performance expectations, and objectives.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, forecasting, and resource utilization.
• Communicate project status and risks to senior leadership for effective decisions.
• Drive process improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and team performance.
• Support business development through client presentations and proposal development.
