Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking an Executive Director, Project Management to lead PM activities within a therapeutic group and drive the delivery of complex global clinical programs.

You will lead and develop high‑performing PM professionals, partner with senior leadership to shape strategy and ensure projects are delivered with quality, efficiency and sponsor satisfaction. This remote role offers collaboration across global teams and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 12 years of global clinical pharmaceutical industry experience, including at least 8 years in clinical project management and people management.
• Proven success leading and line managing staff within a global, matrixed environment.
• Proven experience managing global Dementia programs and complex clinical research projects.
• Strong financial management and analytical skills with budget oversight.
• Ability to build trusted client relationships and negotiate with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Broad knowledge of the drug development process and client needs.
• Proficiency in English; fluency in local office language may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide strategic direction to the Project Management team within a therapeutic or sub‑therapeutic area.
• Oversee delivery, financial performance, and operational execution of global clinical research projects.
• Drive project planning, performance monitoring, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Review and approve strategy, content, and costing of new business proposals.
• Partner with senior leadership on business development and client engagement.
• Build and maintain sponsor relationships; act as key contact for alliance partnerships.
• Lead project and sponsor reviews; identify and resolve issues to ensure client satisfaction.
• Manage, mentor, recruit, develop, and evaluate PM staff; ensure resource utilization.
• Represent Worldwide in capability presentations and client-facing activities.
