Job summary

Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, is seeking a Senior Convention Planning Specialist. The role is based in the United States with remote work options and up to 25% travel to support convention planning, site visits, and on-site event execution.

You will lead convention strategy and planning, partner with marketing and sales teams, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and ensure compliant, impactful event programs that align with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years with HS or 6+ years with an Associate or 4+ years with a Bachelor's in convention/marketing operations or related field.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, project expenses, and vendor relationships.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead convention strategy, planning, and execution for assigned business sectors to support marketing, sales, and commercial objectives.
• Consult with business stakeholders to evaluate convention opportunities and optimize event investments.
• Partner with marketing, communications, and sales to develop convention plans and customer engagement strategies.
• Manage exhibit logistics, space selection, vendor coordination, shipping, installation, dismantling, and on-site execution.
• Develop and manage convention budgets, forecasts, and expenses.
