FirstService Residential is seeking an experienced accounting supervisor to lead a team of accountants responsible for monthly financial statements for HOA/condo portfolios. You will hire, supervise, monitor and direct the team to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements and department policies.

The role includes preparing statements for complex associations, supporting the Financial Reporting Leadership Team, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 5+ years GL accounting experience.
• Supervisory experience a plus; CAM license; CPA a plus.
• Experience in property management, real estate or residential management.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise daily functions of the assigned team; ensure processes followed and high-quality financial statements.
• Ensure timeliness; communicate with team, peers, leadership and operations to meet client expectations.
• Prioritize and review accountants' work; monitor quality control of all transactions.
• Provide direction and assist in investigation/resolution of issues; follow up on outstanding items.
• Communicate potential issues affecting accuracy of financial statements.
• Provide ongoing training on regulations, procedures and deadlines.
• Manage performance reviews and coaching; document actions with leadership.
• Assist CPA audits; analyze and post end-of-year adjusting entries.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting by researching data to answer financial questions.
