Job summary

ORC is seeking a GIS Technician to support mapping and data management for right of way projects. The role involves creating maps, maintaining parcel data, and performing data quality checks across GIS datasets.

A strong focus on clean data and timely delivery will be essential. The position offers remote work within NC/SC with occasional travel to the Charlotte HQ, and opportunities for growth within the GIS team.

Qualifications

• Experience with GIS data management and analysis.
• Strong attention to detail for clean data and maps.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Produce maps, exhibits, and figures supporting right of way projects
• Create and maintain parcel data, project layers, and geodatabase edits
• Perform data entry, cleanup, and quality checks across GIS datasets
• Respond to map and data requests from agents, project managers, and clients
• Help maintain templates, symbology, and data standards
• Perform general tasks that keep project mapping moving
