Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities is seeking a GIS Specialist II to coordinate, prepare and process GIS information for our utility network. This remote, home-based role supports the gas distribution system with mapping, data management, and QA procedures.

Candidates should have 3+ years of GIS experience, ArcGIS Enterprise proficiency, and strong communication skills. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is expected; a detail-oriented approach helps maintain accurate, up-to-date geospatial records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prepare, and process GIS information for Chesapeake Utilities.
• Edit and update digital utility maps, data, and layers.
• Ensure accurate records of the gas distribution system.
• Integrate other asset management programs into GIS.
• Develop QA procedures and metadata management.
• Maintain data and map products; archive digital media.
