Job summary

Michigan State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Gift Management to lead the Gift Management team, oversee data quality, and coordinate processing activities with stakeholders across campus. The role entails training staff, ensuring adherence to IRS and CASE guidelines, and delivering accurate reporting.

The position reports to the Director of Gift Management and may require evening/weekend work on occasion, with a remote-friendly, hybrid work arrangement and strong collaboration

Qualifications

• Two–Three years of college coursework related to the area of employment.
• Three years of related and progressively more responsible work experience coordinating data processing initiatives.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Plans and assigns work to meet deadlines.
• Coordinates and prioritizes day-to-day gift and pledge processing activities.
• Verifies and analyzes data to ensure accuracy and resolves discrepancies.
• Monitors data entry staff production measures.
• Prepares monthly reports for leadership to ensure financial integrity.
• Trains staff on IRS standards and CASE Guidelines.
