Qualifications

• Basic understanding of surveying principles and field measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS software, or survey data collection systems is a plus.
• Ability to operate GPS, robotic total stations, and digital levels.

Responsibilities

• Assign specific tasks to crew members.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients.
• Organize and plan survey logistics.
• Act as the primary point of contact.
• Assist Survey Crew Chiefs and Project Surveyors in field operations.
• Set up, operate, and maintain survey equipment including GPS receivers and total stations.
• Assist with survey tasks such as boundary and topographic surveys.
• Establish and recover survey control points and benchmarks.
• Verify measurements and assist in data quality checks.
• Maintain survey equipment and report issues to supervisors.
• Learn surveying standards and technology through field mentorship.
