Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geomatics or related field preferred or 3-5 years of applicable experience.
• Strong mathematical, measurement and geometry fundamentals.
• Willingness to learn surveying procedures, equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Assist survey crews with field surveying and construction layout.
• Hold survey rods, prisms, GPS equipment and other measurement tools as directed.
• Support collection of topographic, boundary, as-built and staking data.
• Help establish, locate and recover survey control points and benchmarks.
• Maintain and transport survey equipment and supplies.
• Record field notes and measurements accurately.
• Communicate effectively with crew members for efficient field operations.
• Support quality control by verifying measurements and identifying discrepancies.
• Demonstrate initiative in learning survey methods and equipment.
