Job summary

APTIM seeks a Geologist/Environmental Project Manager to lead regional environmental programs in Southern California. You will manage projects from proposal through execution, mentoring staff and ensuring quality, safety, and profitability.

Expect a 75% office and 25% field mix, with direct client interaction and business development responsibilities. Ideal candidates have 8+ years PM and sales experience, a related degree (MS preferred), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Geology or an applied science; MS preferred.
• 8+ years of project management and sales experience.
• Experience with state and federal environmental projects; ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong MS Office skills.
• Professional registration preferred (P.E., P.G.).

Responsibilities

• Manage existing state-wide environmental compliance programs for clients.
• Serve as seller-doer to affect revenue and client outcomes.
• Develop relationships and identify opportunities for additional work.
• Oversee planning, contracts, staff, QA/QC, health and safety, and project financials.
• Ensure safety and quality across programs.
