Job summary

APTIM is seeking a Geologist/Environmental Project Manager to lead environmental programs across southern California. You will manage all phases from proposal through execution, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction for assessments, remediation, and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of PM and sales experience, a degree in Engineering/Geology (MS preferred), strong MS Office and GIS skills, and can work remotely from Irvine or San Diego while coordinating with

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Geology or an applied science; MS preferred.
• 8+ years of project management and sales experience.
• Program or project management experience with commercial, State and Federal/DOD projects.
• Has accountability for managing financial resources.
• Well versed in State and Federal environmental guidelines.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplined teams and communicate effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; GIS knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage existing State-wide environmental compliance programs for various retail and telecommunication clients.
• Perform as a seller-doer directly affecting revenue, profitability, cash flow, and repeat business by delivering quality products and services.
• Communicate effectively with clients to build relationships and identify new work opportunities.
• Organizes and contributes to business development activities; may serve as key account manager.
• Oversee professional staff and contractors; supervise technical personnel.
• Provide technical guidance to employees.
• Oversee all phases of planning and execution, including pre-bid, contracts, staff oversight, QA/QC, safety, and project financials.
• Establish and monitor project safety and quality.
