Job summary

Uconn Health/Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT, seeks a Remote General Radiologist for a part-time role. You will provide general diagnostic radiology coverage for community hospitals and outpatient imaging sites using a UConn Health–provided PACS workstation.

The position offers weekday daytime and evening shifts with no weekend or call coverage. The ideal candidate holds an MD/DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency, ABR certification, and CT/ultrasound

Qualifications

MD/DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
ABR certification in Diagnostic Radiology.
Connecticut medical license or eligibility for licensure.
Ability to maintain a secure, private remote reading environment with high-speed internet.
Availability to work a minimum of 0.5 FTE during scheduled weekday daytime and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

Interpret STAT, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient examinations, including radiography, CT, ultrasound, and other modalities.
Prioritize time-sensitive studies and meet departmental turnaround expectations.
Provide clear, clinically focused reports and communicate critical findings to referring clinicians.
Provide evening general radiology coverage and appropriate handoff of pending or time-sensitive cases.
Provide clinician consultation and imaging protocoling support.
Collaborate with on-site and remote radiologists, technologists, and community-site teams.
Participate in peer review, quality improvement, and departmental standardization initiatives.
