Job summary

UConn Health Community Network is seeking an experienced Remote General Radiologist to provide general diagnostic radiology coverage for community hospitals and outpatient imaging sites.

This is a fully remote, part-time position (minimum 0.5 FTE) using a UConn Health-provided PACS workstation with weekday daytime and evening shifts and no weekend or call coverage.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
• ABR certification in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Proficiency in radiography, CT, ultrasound and in emergency, inpatient and outpatient imaging.
• Connecticut medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Eligibility for UConn community faculty appointment and medical staff privileges.
• Ability to maintain a secure remote reading environment with high speed internet.
• Availability to work a minimum of 0.5 FTE during scheduled weekday daytime and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Interpret STAT, emergency, inpatient and outpatient examinations across radiography, CT, ultrasound and other modalities as trained.
• Prioritize time-sensitive studies and meet departmental turnaround expectations.
• Provide clear, clinically focused reports and communicate critical findings to referring clinicians.
• Provide evening general radiology coverage and proper handoff of pending/time-sensitive cases.
• Provide clinician consultation and imaging protocoling support.
• Collaborate with on-site and remote radiologists, technologists and community-site teams.
• Participate in peer review, quality improvement and departmental standardization initiatives.

Preferred:

Fellowship training in a diagnostic radiology subspecialty, teleradiology or multi-site experience, and community hospital experience.
