Sedgwick, a global leader in claims management, is seeking a Remote Liability Claims Examiner to handle high-exposure General Liability cases for a major client. You will adjudicate claims, develop claim and defense strategies, and partner with clients and legal counsel to drive timely resolutions from any location in the United States.

You’ll review reports, coordinate with local counsel, identify settlement opportunities, and participate in mediations and trials as needed.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Five (5) years of General liability claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Mental: Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews/acts on reports/forms; responds to inquiries; seeks legal opinion and early resolution; and communicates resolution to appropriate parties.
• Handles high end cases with serious injuries and/or complex coverage scenarios.
• Responds to plaintiff’s counsel, union, employee, or client requests.
• Identifies subrogation opportunities and manages process.
• Attends and participates in mediations, trials, arbitrations or hearings as needed.
• Works with partners to affect early return-to-work.
