Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Remote Liability Claims Examiner to adjudicate high end Public Entity General Liability cases with serious injuries, complex coverage scenarios and legal inquiries. You will leverage Sedgwick's broad network to deliver timely, accurate resolutions and support client designees.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and five years of General liability claims management experience, excellent judgment, problem solving, and a collaborative, service-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Five (5) years of General liability claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Address and handle high end Public Entity General Liability cases with serious injuries, complex coverage scenarios and legal inquiries or disputes; seek legal opinion and early resolution; gather documents and coordinate with client designees.
• Requests legal/private investigation; assigns to and coordinates with local counsel; monitors local counsel performance.
• Responds to plaintiff's counsel, union, employee, or client requests.
• Establishes/adjusts accrued liability and approves administrative expenses.
