Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney in San Diego, California. This role offers a flexible, hybrid or remote working arrangement and is ideal for attorneys with defense litigation experience seeking career advancement in defense matters.

The candidate should have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the California bar, with at least 2 years of defense litigation experience, including drafting motions and handling depositions and court

Qualifications

• 2+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience with catastrophic injury, product liability, construction defect, habitability, transportation, or other general liability matters.
• Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions.
• Experience cross-examining plaintiffs and other fact witnesses.
• Experience handling court appearances, depositions, and trial experience a plus.
• 2nd chair trial experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload from beginning to end.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
