YO AI Labs is seeking a General Counsel for a remote, contract-based role focused on shaping our contract strategy and playbooks. You will lead negotiation templates, advise on risk, and ensure alignment with AI-training objectives across teams.

The ideal candidate has GC-level experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a track record in corporate environments. You will deliver clear, actionable insights and contribute to scalable contracting practices for a fast-growing AI company.

Qualifications

• Experience as GC or deputy GC focused on contract negotiation playbooks.
• Expertise in drafting, negotiation and management of commercial contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clarity.
• Knowledge of industry-standard practices for contract review and risk assessment.
• Experience developing contract negotiation playbooks for companies.
• Familiarity with document-driven projects and AI-training materials.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and refine contract negotiation playbooks based on diverse real-world scenarios and company requirements.
• Draft, analyze, and annotate a range of commercial agreements, ensuring clarity, precision, and compliance with relevant standards.
• Provide expert commentary on best practices for contract management and negotiation strategies.
• Curate and supply non-confidential, eligible transaction materials in support of the project's documentation objectives.
• Evaluate and optimize existing contract templates, identifying areas to improve efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with micro1's team to ensure materials meet project guidelines and AI-training needs.
• Deliver high-quality written and verbal feedback to enhance system understanding and output.
