Job summary

Mutual of Omaha seeks an experienced developer to lead the design and implementation of ML and GenAI applications for Workplace Solutions. You will champion analytics-driven strategies, align solutions with business needs, and drive adoption of scalable, ethical AI across the organization.

You will shape AI strategy, governance, and MLOps, mentor teams, and collaborate across divisions to deliver measurable business value while maintaining security and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years deploying and supporting full-stack applications in enterprise environments, with AI/ML integration.
• Experience in AWS services, especially Bedrock, SageMaker, S3, Lambda; infrastructure as code (CDK).
• Strong communication and collaboration, able to work remotely with diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI and generative AI solutions across the division.
• Define a roadmap for ML and GenAI capabilities with governance and measurable outcomes.
• Build proofs-of-concept and data pipelines; production rollout of solutions.
• Establish governance, ethics, and best practices for secure model deployment.
• Mentor teams on LLM-powered applications and reusable templates.
• Integrate data solutions with microservices and external partners.
