Job summary

The Mutual Group is seeking a Principal AI Engineering Architect to define and guide the technical architecture for AI-first engineering. This senior, individual contributor role will shape secure AI platforms, reusable components, and enterprise patterns across TMG and GuideOne Insurance.

You will translate complex business needs into scalable AI-enabled solutions, lead architecture reviews, and stay ahead of GenAI and agentic AI trends.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering or architecture roles.
• 5+ years in AI, ML, automation or analytics.
• Experience designing production-grade enterprise AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture patterns and technical standards for AI-enabled applications and reusable components.
• Translate business needs into scalable AI architectures with secure controls.
• Guide platform architecture, roadmaps, and engineering playbooks.
• Provide hands-on architecture leadership in reviews and production readiness.
• Stay current on GenAI, agent frameworks, and secure deployment practices.
