Job summary

Huntington Bancshares Inc. is seeking a Digital Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a focus on GCP cloud adoption. You will drive migration planning, design reliable architectures, and optimize cloud infrastructure using IaC and automation.

Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to improve service reliability and efficiency. You will implement monitoring, incident response, and cost-performance optimizations while ensuring security and compliance in cloud environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years in cloud engineering, SRE, or DevOps with hands-on GCP.
3+ years with IaC tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
3+ years experience with monitoring/logging/alerting (Prometheus, Grafana).
3+ years designing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
3+ years experience with SRE concepts (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets).
3+ years cloud security practices and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Collaborate to adopt and migrate workloads to GCP with a reliable design.
Apply SRE principles to ensure availability and scalability.
Build and maintain IaC for cloud infrastructure (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
Lead incident response and perform root cause analyses.
Monitor performance, reduce cost, and improve reliability.
Maintain security controls and regulatory compliance in cloud environments.
Create and share technical documentation; mentor teammates.
