Job summary

DB Financial is seeking a Risk Analyst to oversee market and client risk in a forex/CFD brokerage environment. You will monitor real-time exposure, analyze risk metrics and collaborate with the Dealing Desk and Compliance to implement controls.

The role emphasizes developing risk flags, mitigation actions and reporting, with remote work and global collaboration across teams. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of risk management experience within Forex/CFD brokerage or similar trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of market risk, client risk, exposure management, leverage and stop-out mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with MT4/MT5 and risk monitoring tools.
• Experience with BI tools, SQL or Python is advantageous.
• Ability to translate trading data into clear risk decisions and actions.
• Nice-to-have: experience implementing risk rules/alerts via BI, SQL, Python.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time and end-of-day exposure across FX, metals, indices, crypto and other trading instruments.
• Analyse net exposure, concentration risk, volatility risk and portfolio performance.
• Investigate abusive or high-risk trading behaviours and anomalies.
• Develop risk flags, client segmentation and risk scoring to identify high-risk accounts.
• Define and monitor leverage limits, margin requirements and exposure thresholds.
• Collaborate with Dealing Desk on hedging strategies and execution risks.
• Prepare daily exposure reports, risk dashboards and incident analyses for management.
• Recommend and implement risk mitigation actions including leverage restrictions and margin adjustments.
• Maintain and improve risk policies, controls and escalation processes.
• Work with Compliance, Operations and Technology to strengthen monitoring and automate controls.
