Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) in New York City seeks an FX Trading Risk and Control Analyst to develop and monitor risk management standards for the FX trading product. This role sits within BBH’s Enterprise Risk Management division and collaborates with FX trading teams to assess market, credit, and operational risks.

The candidate will build metrics, support new product offerings, and coordinate with Credit, Treasury, Audit, Compliance and Model Validation to resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Education Bachelor's degree required; preference for financial degree with a data discipline such as analytics, data science, statistics, or math.
  • Experience in FX or prime brokerage is preferred.
  • Knowledge of FX Trading instruments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor market volatility to ensure principal exposure stays within risk appetite.
  • Liaise with FX Traders to ensure adherence to limits.
  • Escalate and appropriately escape exceptions.
  • Maintain and develop metrics and analyses for P&L attribution.
  • Assist in establishing processes and controls for FX risk and new product offerings.
  • Coordinate with Credit and Treasury on settlement and related items.
  • Prepare ad hoc risk analyses for senior personnel or new products.
  • Coordinate with Audit, Compliance and Model Validation to resolve control issues.
