Job summary

National Seating & Mobility is seeking a Funding Specialist to coordinate with the Funding Director and related teams to ensure accurate order review and timely approvals. The role emphasizes education of Funding Specialists and maintaining documentation quality throughout the funding cycle.

The position operates primarily in a work-from-home setting and requires strong leadership, communication, and process improvement skills to support referrals, physicians, therapists, RTSs, and clients

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Durable Medical Equipment or Complex Rehab Technology.
• Experience with funding processes and insurance guidelines.
• Experience with Mobility Advisor or data management systems.
• Excellent people skills and strong leadership.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer service oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint) and Excel.
• Ability to manage and develop others remotely.
• Ability to read and interpret reports and procedures.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains working knowledge of DME policies and insurance guidelines.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Manages transaction cycle time to ensure timely funding approvals.
• Supports Funding Specialist during PTO/LOA/FOA etc. and coordinates with referrals, physicians, therapists, RTSs, and clients to secure documentation.
• Reviews documentation for payer guidelines and educates when needed.
• Gathers and verifies insurance coverage information and communicates benefits.
• Maintains client communication throughout the funding process.
• Provides direction and guidance to staff to achieve goals.
• Assists with new business acquisitions and branch support.
• Performs routine audits and identifies coaching opportunities.
