Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Developer Senior to design and build Java-based microservices, REST APIs, data ingestion pipelines, and reporting solutions. The role includes JasperReports development, modernizing PACER reports, and SQL-driven data reconciliation workflows.

You will test across APIs, data pipelines, and reporting outputs while supporting end-to-end development and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience.
• Education: Bachelor Degree in Computers or related field.
• Full Stack Java Developer skilled in Java microservices, REST APIs, data ingestion pipelines, SQL, JasperReports, and end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java-based REST APIs and stateless microservices using Javalin.
• Build JasperReports templates, reports, and ingestion pipelines (SFTP, batch).
• Modernize PACER reporting, reconciliation logic, and monthly report workflows.
• Write SQL for data queries, aggregations, reconciliation checks, and cross-system data blends.
• Execute unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing across environments.
• Coordinate UAT, defect triage, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
