Job summary

Xplor Technologies is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Embedded Payments team and help scale our cloud-native payments platform. You will write end-to-end code, from API contracts to the UI, and work with backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software.

The role emphasizes scalable systems, PCI awareness, observability, and collaboration in a 100% remote US-based team, with preference for candidates in the Kansas City region.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a CS/Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Strong Node.js experience and production backend delivery.
• Experience building React frontends consuming RESTful APIs.
• Designing RESTful APIs and microservices; relational DBs like PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on AWS experience; CI/CD pipelines; Git and agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Execute full software development lifecycle across backend services and frontend interfaces.
• Design and build well-tested, well-documented features spanning APIs, data models, and UI.
• Produce tech specs and assess feasibility for new payments features.
• Integrate components into production-ready systems with observability.
• Contribute to verification, QA procedures, and deployment guardrails.
• Maintain existing functionality and documentation; participate in deployments.
