Job summary

Xplor Technologies is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale a cloud-native payment orchestration platform. You will work across backend and frontend, delivering features with strong observability, security, and PCI considerations.

Join a remote US team, with preference for candidates in the Kansas City region. Expect collaboration with backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps to ship high-quality software and iterate quickly using AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a CS/Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Strong Node.js backend and production services experience.
• Experience building React frontends that consume RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Proficiency with Git, agile delivery (Scrum), and Jest testing.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools and an opinion on their use.

Responsibilities

• Execute full SDLC across backend and frontend services.
• Design and build well-tested features spanning APIs, data models, and UI.
• Produce technical specs and assess feasibility for new payments features.
• Integrate components into production-ready systems with observability.
• Contribute to verification plans, QA procedures, and deployment guardrails.
• Maintain and improve existing functionality, including docs.
• Participate in deployment planning, on-call rotations, and incident response for the payments platform.
• Leverage AI tools to increase velocity while maintaining quality.
• Stay current with platform updates, security, and PCI compliance.
