Job summary

FormativGroup is hiring a Full Stack Tech Lead Engineer to join a Financial Services technology organization that builds tools for tax professionals. The role blends hands-on coding with people leadership, guiding modernization of legacy .NET/C# and Angular toward Python, Node.js, and React.

You will drive technical direction, review work, and lead CI/CD, IaC, and AI-assisted workflows while maintaining production stability across cloud-native services.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of software engineering experience with senior/lead roles.
• Experience leading at least one engineering team.
• Hands-on full-stack development experience.
• Proficiency with Python, Node.js, and React.
• Cloud-native experience on Azure; AWS/GCP is a plus.
• Experience using AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and roadmap across delivery and modernization.
• Contribute production code and review peers' work.
• Drive CI/CD, IaC, and containerization practices.
• Mentor engineers and grow the team.
• Work with AI agents in the software lifecycle while keeping human control.
