Job summary

FranklinCovey is hiring a Full Stack Developer to join the Platforms team. You will build a modern learning platform with emphasis on performance and scalability, collaborating across product, design, data, and content teams.

We seek at least 5 years of software engineering experience, strong Python/Django, SQL, and React/TypeScript skills. This is a remote role in the contiguous United States supporting our global edtech platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience coding in a production Python/Django environment
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries and designing relational data models
• Experience with React and TypeScript
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform

Responsibilities

• Ship regularly and iteratively, writing testable, readable, and maintainable code
• Fix bugs and performance problems
• Develop a deep understanding of how data flows through complex systems and work with intricate data models
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve velocity and code quality
• Design and implement solutions considering scale, security, performance, and privacy
• Collaborate with Product to provide multiple viable technical paths for new features and improvements
• Participate in code reviews, mentor others and share learnings through documentation
