Job summary

City Science is seeking talented developers to join our full-stack team, delivering cutting-edge tools for decarbonisation. You will work across the full stack, from data processing to front-end interfaces, and help clients monitor and visualise progress.

We welcome self-taught or formal training in JavaScript and Python, offer remote UK-friendly work, 40-hour weeks, 25 days leave, and a salary range of £30,000–£40,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• BSc 2:1 or better in a STEM subject (1st class desirable).
• Strong mathematical and numerical skills demonstrated.
• Willingness to learn coding across the full stack; self-taught ok.
• Excellent problem solving and teamwork abilities.
• Strong communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passion for decarbonisation and delivering impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications and tools supporting decarbonisation planning.
• Energy modelling tasks such as Home Energy Model and benchmarking.
• Support internal teams with automation and digitisation.
• Manage full development stack and adapt to evolving needs.
• Collaborate across consultancy and software teams and promote new technologies.
• Communicate the decarbonisation case using cutting-edge software.
