OpenTeams in Washington, DC metro region seeks a Full-Stack Platform Engineer to build API-first backend services for workflow orchestration and data ingestion, plus analyst-facing web tooling. You’ll ensure secure interfaces used by analysts, internal teams, and partners, while designing robust identity federation and access controls.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• 5+ years in full-stack or backend engineering with API-first focus.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar.
• Experience designing REST/GraphQL APIs for external use.
• Frontend experience with React/Vue/Svelte; functional, not visual polish.
• Identity/authentication via OpenID Connect, SAML, PKI/X.509.
• Containerized apps, Git workflows, automated tests, CI.
• Strong documentation and developer-facing API materials.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, and maintain APIs for workflows and data.
• Define stable interface specifications for external integrators.
• Implement SSO and identity federation across services.
• Enforce authentication/authorization across platforms.
• Build relational data models for API and workflow needs.
• Create analyst-facing web consoles and UI tooling.
• Develop AI-focused UI patterns for streaming results and multi-step runs.
• Produce API docs, guides, SDKs, reference implementations.
• Develop notebooks and enablement materials for data science teams.
• Collaborate with security, infra, ML teams for reliable services.
