Job summary

OpenTeams is seeking a Full-Stack Platform Engineer to build API-first backend services and analyst-facing frontend tooling for an AI platform. You will define interfaces, implement identity federation, and ensure secure, scalable delivery across environments.

You will contribute docs, reference implementations, and notebooks while collaborating with security, infra, and ML teams. Travel up to 15% may occur; remote work possible for certain duties.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• 5+ years of full-stack or backend engineering experience with API-first services.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, or a comparable language.
• Experience designing, documenting, versioning, and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs for external teams.
• Experience with modern component-based frontend frameworks (React/Vue/Svelte) and clean interfaces.
• Familiarity with streaming responses, async job status, and long-running AI workflows.
• Experience implementing authentication/authorization via OpenID Connect, SAML, PKI/X.509.
• Experience developing containerized apps and services.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, automated testing, and CI.
• Experience with relational databases and API-level data modeling.
• Strong written communication for developers integrating platform services.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, and maintain APIs for orchestration, ingestion, evaluation, and results management.
• Define stable, versioned API interfaces for external integrators.
• Implement SSO and identity federation across deployment environments.
• Enforce authentication, authorization, and access controls across services.
• Model relational data to support platform APIs and workflows.
• Build analyst-facing web consoles and tooling for workflows and results.
• Develop UI for AI interactions: streaming outputs and long runs.
• Ensure interfaces reuse the same public APIs as external integrators.
• Produce API docs, guides, SDKs, and reference implementations.
• Develop notebooks and enablement resources for data science audiences.
• Support partner and government teams integrating with APIs.
• Write automated tests and maintain CI pipelines across backend/frontend.
• Ensure dependencies are compatible with target deployments.
• Collaborate with platform, security, infra, and ML engineers for reliability.
