Akra Field is a mobile app that digitizes field operations for commercial construction, already live in production on App Store and Google Play. This contract role offers a clear path to becoming a founding engineer with equity for the right person as paying pilots are secured.

You’ll work on features across the app, real-time and offline data handling, push notifications, PDF generation, and photo handling while keeping pilots stable and users happy on site.

Qualifications

• Strong React Native Expo experience (EAS Build, EAS Update / OTA)
• Solid Firebase: Firestore, Cloud Functions, Auth, Storage
• TypeScript
• Someone who ships, tests on real devices, and can own a feature end to end with light direction

Responsibilities

• Develop new features across the app: analytics dashboards, blueprint markup, inventory tracking, a custom form builder
• Ensure real-time data and offline sync works on job sites with poor signal
• Implement push notifications, PDF generation, and photo handling
• Keep a live pilot stable while shipping to real users with zero tolerance for breaking their day
