Job summary

VivSoft Technologies LLC seeks a Junior Software Developer to support the U.S. Coast Guard COMPASS program, focusing on Angular front-end and Node.js services for C5I-Home and VDS eStorefront.

You will work in an Agile sprint team, implement user stories, perform unit testing, participate in code reviews, and support releases across environments with a focus on secure coding and collaboration with Government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular/React/Vue).
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Node.js experience and RESTful APIs.
• Working with relational databases and SQL queries.
• Git-based workflows and code reviews.
• Unit tests and secure coding practices.
• Agile/Scrum experience and strong collaboration.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain favorable DHS/Coast Guard clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Angular front-end components and Node.js services for C5I-Home and VDS eStorefront.
• Implement sprint-committed user stories, enhancements, defects, and maintenance tickets.
• Support data integrations and interfaces with Login.gov/Pay.gov.
• Write secure, maintainable code following OWASP guidelines.
• Identify vulnerabilities via CI/CD and security scans.
• Write and maintain automated unit tests and assist QA.
• Participate in code reviews and merge requests.
• Support deployments across development, test, staging, production.
• Ensure accessibility per Section 508 and collaborate in Agile ceremonies.
