Job summary

VivSoft is seeking a Software Developer to build and maintain the VIDA-DMS portal and CREST micro-frontend. You will work on Angular components, Node.js services, and containerized deployments in AWS GovCloud, delivering sprint-backed user stories end-to-end.

Work involves secure software practices, 508 accessibility, and collaboration with DoD and government stakeholders. Remote position with EST-aligned hours and a fixed-price program cadence.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in CS, SE, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-6 years of professional software development on the same app.
• Proficiency with Angular (v12+), TypeScript, and component architecture.
• Experience with Node.js, REST APIs, and relational DBs (PostgreSQL).
• Git-based version control, branching, and MR-driven reviews.
• Experience writing unit tests and CI/CD pipeline work.
• Agile or Scrum delivery cadence with sprint commitments.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DHS/Coast Guard suitability.
• Ability to align work hours with Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Angular front-end components and Node.js endpoints.
• Extend micro frontend components into the public portal shell.
• Implement REST APIs for vessel and reference data exchanges.
• Write unit tests and support QA in sprint cycles.
• Follow OWASP and secure SDLC practices in CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure accessibility requirements for user interfaces.
• Participate in standups, planning, backlog grooming, demos, and reviews.
• Document APIs and user-facing help content for contract deliverables.
• Assist Government stakeholders during demonstrations and UAT sessions.
