Job summary

FBS, a top-three MLS software vendor and 100% employee-owned, is seeking a Senior/Lead Full Stack Engineer to build customer-facing software across Rails, React, and data integrations. This role emphasizes reliability, trust, and safety in AI features.

You will own features end-to-end, work with CI/CD, Docker, APIs, and collaborate with QA, product, and design. Salary range is $120,000–$140,000, with competitive benefits and an entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of software engineering experience.
• Production Rails applications experience.
• Experience with APIs and data transformation.
• Relational data modeling expertise.
• Frontend technologies experience.
• CI/CD, Docker and containers experience.
• Ownership from concept to release, including testing.
• Experience with AI features for customer-facing products.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Rails backend services and web applications.
• Develop frontend experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably React.
• Design integrations with internal platforms and external APIs and data services.
• Translate requirements into well-scoped, testable changes.
• Own features across the stack from data modeling to UI and production support.
• Write clear, maintainable code with automated tests.
• Troubleshoot production issues, integration failures, and data inconsistencies.
• Participate in planning, estimation, code review, and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with QA, product, and design to improve usability and reliability.
• Document systems, decisions, edge cases, and operational considerations.
