Job summary

HomeLight in San Francisco is seeking a product-minded, AI-native Full Stack Engineer to help embed AI into the real estate platform. You’ll design and ship scalable backend services with Ruby on Rails, build frontend with React, and integrate AI-driven features into business workflows.

You will collaborate across product, design, data, and DevOps to ensure high quality, measurable improvements, monitor systems, and balance deterministic software with probabilistic AI.

Qualifications

• 2+ years professional software engineer experience.
• 2+ years production Ruby on Rails experience.
• 2+ years React.js or React Native experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers to build AI-powered product experiences.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Rails backend services.
• Build modern frontend apps with React.js.
• Integrate AI features into business workflows.
• Architect systems combining SOA with AI components.
• Improve code quality with testing and automation.
• Use AI tools responsibly to maintain velocity and quality.
• Review code for performance, security, maintainability, including AI-generated code.
• Understand business requirements and design scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with marketing, platform, DevOps, data, analytics.
• Use data and experimentation to inform decisions.
• Monitor production systems, including AI features.
