Job summary

LMI Government Consulting is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to support IronGate, a federal data acquisition and transfer platform. You’ll work across the stack—from Angular and React UI workflows to Node/Express APIs and PostgreSQL data models—delivering secure, scalable capabilities for threat detection and operational decision-making.

You’ll collaborate with product owners, designers, DevSecOps, and fellow engineers to iterate quickly, modernize components, and shape the future

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience in full stack development with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Proven experience developing applications in React.
• Strong frontend skills: Angular and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building React applications (hooks, component composition, state management, routing).
• Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and component-based UI patterns.
• Experience with Node.js and Express.js for RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing and consuming OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Hands-on work with relational databases (PostgreSQL) including SQL, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience deploying and operating services in Kubernetes and containerized applications (Docker, Helm).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Active Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack features for IronGate using Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.
• Design and develop new and existing UI features in React, ensuring interoperability with Angular components.
• Develop RESTful APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger for secure, well-structured services.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL data models with indexing and performance tuning.
• Work within a Kubernetes-based architecture and containerize/deploy backend services.
• Enhance frontend UX using Angular, React, and UI libraries like PrimeNG.
• Support data integration with Airbyte and related ETL pipelines.
• Collaborate on security and DevSecOps practices, including AWS GuardDuty integration.
• Participate in code reviews and API design sessions; influence architecture for scalability.
• Contribute to future architecture with Spark, Elasticsearch, Kong, and Python-based APIs.
