Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced software engineer to drive innovation and build production systems for a global, 24/7 support operation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions across frontend and backend technologies using Ruby, React, and TypeScript.

The role requires strong design and testing practices, with emphasis on observability and performance.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of software development experience.
Must also have 3 years of experience in each of the following: building production software systems with well-tested code; front-end and back-end software development; designing, building, and maintaining functional applications including web-based agent tooling platforms, case management and routing systems; integrating and maintaining multiple systems and processes including cloud-based infrastructure platforms, database systems, API gateways, authentication systems, and CI/CD pipelines; developing software solutions that support internal operations or customer workflows; writing software in Ruby, React, or TypeScript; building and maintaining high-throughput API services; improving system performance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Drive technical innovation to support automation and efficiency, serving both the company users and internal teams.
Collaborate with user-facing teams to understand operational challenges and implement robust technical solutions.
Design and implement features to power the company's global 24/7 support operation.
Write high-quality, well-tested code with appropriate monitoring and observability.
Build support for initiatives by sharing compelling data, and measure outcomes to demonstrate successful execution.
Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
Partner with product and design teams to deliver excellent user experiences.
