Job summary

Mercor is hiring a Software Engineer, Full Stack to build and ship end-to-end applications. The role requires hands-on experience with Python, Java, Rust, C#, or C, plus a second language. You’ll work across backend, APIs, and modern front-end tech in a remote, 40-hour week.

Responsibilities include integrating model APIs, diagnosing failures, and delivering working code quickly while maintaining code quality across the stack. This is a contract role with weekly payments via Stripe Connect.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional software development experience at a top-tier org.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Rust, C#, or C, plus a second language.
• Experience across backend, APIs, front-end (React or equivalent), databases, and cloud deployment.
• Ability to onboard quickly to an unfamiliar codebase and deliver working code.
• Available for at least 40 hours per week and able to communicate clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack apps, services, and internal tools using multiple languages.
• Integrate pre-release model APIs into software, including interfaces and telemetry.
• Diagnose model and integration failures and document findings for the research team.
• Prototype rapidly to meet shifting requirements with limited upfront specs.
• Collaborate with the engineering manager to maintain code quality and architecture.
