Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack to work remotely on a contract basis. You will build and ship production-ready full-stack applications and services across backend, frontend, and APIs to enable frontier model capabilities.

Responsibilities include integrating pre-release model APIs, diagnosing failures, prototyping quickly against changing requirements, and collaborating to maintain code quality and technical documentation. 40 hours/week, $90–$110/hour, W-2 with Mercor.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Production experience in Python, Java, Rust, C#, or C.
• End-to-end ownership: backend services, API design, frontend, data modeling and cloud deployment.
• Excellent written communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack applications and tools in Python, Java, Rust, C#, C or TS.
• Integrate pre-release model APIs into working software with telemetry.
• Diagnose and document model and integration issues for research feedback.
• Prototype quickly against shifting requirements with working increments.
• Collaborate with the manager and engineers to maintain code quality and docs.
