Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement full-stack features for our Specialty Networks and Commercial Technologies software platforms.

You will build data-rich dashboards and workflows in a regulated healthcare environment, with AI-assisted capabilities and a focus on maintainable code. You will lead technical efforts, collaborate across teams, and mentor engineers, while delivering secure, scalable solutions on Azure and RESTful APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of full-stack software development with C# and a modern component-based JavaScript framework.
• Experience leading projects technically and guiding the work of other engineers as a technical lead.
• Expert-level C# with ASP.NET Core, and expert-level Angular and TypeScript.
• Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid Entity Framework Core and SQL Server skills, with comfort dropping to hand-written SQL when performance calls for it.
• Experience building data-driven, configurable feature logic and dashboards/reports.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services: App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vault, Application Insights; Azure AD B2C/MSAL; and Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
• Security-conscious coding in regulated or enterprise environments and adherence to standards.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack functionality across web applications and services from API/data layer to UI.
• Build interfaces, dashboards, and workflow tools used daily by users.
• Design configurable, data-driven feature logic that can be adapted without code changes.
• Integrate AI- and analytics-assisted capabilities with explainable results.
• Create reusable UI components and consume RESTful APIs and serverless functions.
• Provide technical direction to a small engineering team, including contract resources, with clear task specs.
• Write secure, compliant code and contribute to automated testing.
• Keep applications current as frameworks evolve and debug across the stack.
• Mentor developers and collaborate across engineering and non-technical teams.
• Assist with releases and build/release automation.
