Job summary

Grid Status is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our remote-first team. You’ll contribute to both API and web frontend, building data-intensive features and scalable systems used by thousands of energy stakeholders.

You’ll work across the stack with TypeScript and Python, collaborate in a small team, participate in code reviews, and help refine UX as the product scales.

This role offers hybrid options in Chicago and fully remote US work with compensation in the 135k–235k range plus equity.

Qualifications

• Experience building complex single-page applications.
• Experience working on UI/UX for data-intensive software.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement major features for the API and web app.
• Design intuitive interfaces for data-intensive products backed by maintainable models.
• Fully participate in the stack to drive projects to completion.
• Optimize for speed and scalability across devices and browsers.
