Relativity is seeking an early‑ to mid‑level Advanced Software Engineer to join Gavel, a Microsoft Word‑native agentic surface used by lawyers weekly. You’ll work alongside the engineers who built Gavel, grow toward end‑to‑end ownership of agentic features, and gain exposure to the founders.

• 2+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Python and building full‑stack apps with front end (React) and SQL.
• Hands-on experience building agentic solutions with LLMs and ability to explain prompts, tool calls, embeddings, and failure points.
• Basic familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers, and CI/CD.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and writing clean, tested code.
• Curiosity about how lawyers work and willingness to learn from data.

Responsabilidades

• Build features across the full stack of Gavel Exec, including agent tools, prompt and context changes, services and API endpoints, and front-end work in the Word add-in and web app.
• Write and extend evaluations, run them, and learn to interpret the results; ship behind feature flags and monitor production outcomes.
• Learn and practice a modern software development lifecycle with small commits, feature-flagged deployments, fast rollbacks, and agentic tooling.
• Fix bugs, improve reliability, and add tests while understanding how agentic systems fail.
• Pair with Senior and Lead engineers on design and code reviews; document learnings for others.
• Tackle increasingly ambiguous problems as you demonstrate readiness.
