Addison Group is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist (full-cycle) for a contract-to-hire role. The position is fully remote within eligible states and offers hourly pay of $20–$25 with benefits eligibility after the probation period.

The candidate should have 1+ year of medical billing/AR experience and relevant certifications. Responsibilities include end-to-end billing tasks, denial follow-up, and collaboration with providers to ensure accurate claims and timely reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and accounts receivable (1+ years).
• Medical Billing and Coding certification or CRCR preferred.
• Experience with hospital or pediatric billing is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance claims, denials, and reimbursement processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts and insurance data for accurate claims submission.
• Prepare and process medical claims; identify missing or incorrect information.
• Obtain documentation from providers and internal teams to complete claims.
• Investigate denied or rejected claims and determine next steps for resolution.
• Make necessary claim updates and follow-ups to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Follow up on complex denials and escalate as needed for resolution.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Adhere to established billing procedures and payer requirements.
