Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Frontier Engineer to pilot and migrate a cloud-native payment hub from Azure to AWS and GCP, leveraging GenAI tools to accelerate delivery. You will collaborate with developers, QA, cloud and DevOps engineers, and clients.

Based in the United States, this remote-friendly role requires solid experience with Java/Spring Boot, Angular, API development, and cloud platforms AWS/GCP, with opportunities to shape a modern, scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Frontier Engineer using GenAI tools (Devin, Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot).
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong API development experience.
• Hands-on UI development with Angular.
• Cloud development on AWS and/or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Migrate API and UI code from Azure to AWS and GCP.
• Develop API and UI components across cloud-native environments.
• Design and build cloud-native solutions including CI/CD DevOps pipelines and database engineering.
• Apply GenAI tools to accelerate testing and QA.
• Collaborate across development, QA, cloud, and DB engineering workstreams to deliver the pilot.
