Job summary

Wealthfront is seeking a frontend-focused software engineer to design and develop client-facing features within our cross-functional scrum team. You will work on in-house design system components and help improve infrastructure and developer productivity across the web platform.

You will collaborate with backend, mobile, and product teams to deliver fast, responsive pages and scalable infrastructure, while participating in recruiting and mentoring to grow engineering talent.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years in a web-focused engineering role.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES5+) and native DOM APIs.
• Experience with at least one modern front-end framework (React/Vue/Angular).
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or Express/Django is a plus.
• Experience building pages and components with responsive CSS for speed/performance.
• Passion for business impact and fast-paced cross-functional work.
• Experience with test-driven development, CI, and automated testing.
• BS or MS in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with backend and designers to build features.
• Triage and resolve operational issues across the web platform.
• Contribute to web platform infrastructure to improve health and performance.
• Participate in recruiting activities such as interviewing.
• Provide mentorship to other engineers on the team.
