Ladders is seeking a Frontend Engineer - Design Systems to join our client's team in the Finance & Insurance space. You will build shared interface components in React/TypeScript, partner with designers and engineers to translate design into accessible software, and strengthen the design system through documentation and workflows.

The role emphasizes reusable systems, prototyping with AI tools, and collaboration across product teams to improve velocity and consistency.

Qualifications

Foundation in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS with practical interface-building experience.
Strong understanding of visual design and user interaction, with an emphasis on accessibility.
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools for evaluating and improving generated code.
Demonstrated ownership and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
Curiosity about reusable systems and their trade-offs in product development.
Collaborative mindset with a focus on understanding designer and engineer needs.
Experience with design systems or prototyping is advantageous.
