Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to contribute to the Budget and Spend BAS solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will build enterprise web apps using SAP Analytics Cloud or JavaScript, collaborate with teammates, optimize UI performance, and participate in code reviews to deliver robust BI-focused applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Knowledge of REST APIs and data formats such as XML/JSON.
• Experience in OO programming, web development and debugging.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Strong programming skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Public Trust clearance
• U.S. citizenship required to maintain federal clearance

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAC or other web technologies.
• Review application requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility.
• Optimize web applications for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and team communication.
