Job summary
SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Application to design, build, and support the BAS solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC-based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.
The team develops interactive web apps using SAP Analytics Cloud and standard web technologies. You will contribute to new features, performance tuning, and code reviews while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of frontend web tech experience (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
- Understanding of JavaScript intricacies.
- REST APIs know-how with JSON/XML.
- OO/Design, Web development, debugging.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong programming skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Public Trust required
- U.S. citizenship required to maintain federal clearance.
Responsibilities
- Build enterprise planning and reporting apps using SAC or other web tech.
- Review requirements and interface designs.
- Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
- Monitor and improve front-end performance.
- Document changes and updates.
- Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility.
- Optimize apps for scalability and speed.
- Participate in code reviews and teamwork.
