Designer Jobs in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an independent contractor to design and evaluate visual UI/UX briefs using frontier AI design tools. You’ll work from home with a flexible pace and set your own schedule, while upholding professional standards.

Requirements include English fluency and a background in UI/UX or related design fields. Compensation is USD 75 to 125 per hour, paid via PayPal, with project-based bonuses on select assignments.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, interaction design, and user flow.
• Ability to articulate why a design fails, not just that it fails.
• Comfort working with AI design tools, or the ability to learn them quickly.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not required).

Responsibilities

• Create realistic, challenging design briefs based on your expertise.
• Run briefs through frontier AI design tools and evaluate results to professional standards.
• Compare model versions using identical prompts and assets and identify strengths/weaknesses.
• Critique model-generated interfaces, mockups, layouts, infographics, and motion.
• Document failures with evidence, addressing alignment, spacing, typography, and SVG quality.
• Contribute across software, interactive, and presentation design plus new media.
